Frequently Asked Questions |
How far is the house from the ocean? Villa Soleil is literally a 10 minute walk from the ocean. You can hear the breakers at all times of the day and night crashing against White Horse Reef, off the northern coast. As you are viewing all the photos please keep in mind the natural distancing that takes place in photos and realize the subjects are much closer than they appear. |

Is every bedroom air conditioned? Every room, including the bedrooms, have an air conditioner. They are free standing units, which allows each guest the ability to control the temperature of each room. |

Can maid service during our stay be arranged and how much does it cost? The villa is thoroughly cleaned before your arrival and we are happy to arrange maid service as many times during your stay as you would like. The cost varies depending on the number of times/week and the number of guests. Please request this information from Melissa when you call or email her. We recommend a mid-week cleaning. |
Can you help me with airfare, car rental, or other travel arrangements? We do have resources to help with your travel arrangements. Just let Melissa know what you need and she will make it happen. |
Can you recommend other services, for instance, chefs, babysitters, or diving instructors? Again, Melissa is our resident treasure trove of information. She can give recommendations or help you find whatever services or information about St. Croix that your heart desires. |
Is the kitchen stocked with any food items? One thing we love when we travel is a well-stocked kitchen. Not only is there an ample supply of spices, flour and sugar there are also all the pots, pans, utensils and accessories that a chef would need to prepare a gourmet meal for a full house. |
What kind of travel documents do we need to bring with us? No visas are required for citizens of the US and Canada, though you'll have to prove citizenship by way of a birth certificate or valid passport. Please note: contrary to other information sources, voter registration cards are no longer acceptable. Though not required, we recommend that all persons traveling with children also bring either a copy of the child's/(children's) birth certificate or a valid passport with them as proof of citizenship. The recently adopted Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative will not affect travel between the United States and its territories. U.S. citizens traveling between the United States, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and American Samoa will continue to be able to use established forms of identification to board flights and for entry. Travelers coming from outside the U.S. or Canada for tourism or business for 90 days or less from qualified countries may be eligible to visit the U.S. without a visa. Currently, 29 countries participate in the Visa Waiver Pilot Program: Andorra, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Singapore, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and Uruguay. You will need a valid passport for all travelers for a stay of less than 90 days and proof of onward transportation is required upon entry. If you need further assistance please contact your local embassy. |
