THE VILLA

I just wanted to say thanks again. We LOVED the stay at Villa Soleil and cannot wait to come back some time. We loved the town, eating at Dinos, Kendricks, Rum Runner etc, or cooking Swordfish and Mahi on the grill on your wonderful terrace. When we went to Buck Island we met some nice people from NH who had been kayaking. We said we stayed at Salt River Bay and they said they had seen this awesome house with a fantastic porch up above the bay and wondered whether that was our house. That kind of made us giggle, but we pretended we didn't know what they were talking about. It wasn't the right situation to show off. Having spent a considerable amount of money on this, we personally think this is the vacation that has given us most bang for the bucks, ever. That says a lot, because we travel MUCH. In the last year we have been to Barbados, Margarita, NYC twice, Spain, London twice, Orlando, and some places in Scandinavia. This was a bargain in many ways. We'll be back." - JG

"Melissa - I finally had a chance to sit down and write this note. We cannot thank you enough for what you did to turn a potentially miserable vacation into a wonderful vacation. We totally appreciate your kindness in giving up your villa while you were on island and renting it to us in a moments notice (literally). If you had not been a great villa owner and didn't care about your clients, we would have had the worst vacation ever. The villa was in great condition just like the first time we stayed there. Your villa is very clean and well maintained. We all agree that Villa Soleil is a wonderful villa with magnificent views and we should of chosen your villa from the start. I guess we just wanted to try staying on a different part of the island. Never again after our latest experience! Keith and I are thinking about bringing the kids back with us next year for 2 weeks. We will definitely stay at Villa Soleil and not take the chance of running into another "Villa Dump". Many thanks again for everything you did to make our vacation wonderful. "Speaking of memories, we certainly made some this week. The villa was absolutely beautiful, well beyond what we expected or what the pictures on the Internet were able to capture. The first time we walked out onto the deck the view took our breath away! Us adults spent many early morning hours out there drinking coffee and talking. The rooms were all decorated so nicely with all the matching sheets and bedspreads, pictures, comfortable furniture and once again...the beautiful views! The pool of course, was our favorite spot both day and night. We liked being at the house so much that no one was anxious to do anything but stay there. The kids really enjoyed having their own place down stairs where they could stay up as late as they wanted and none of us ever knew! Everyone had their favorite thing to do each day. Mine was running in the early morning hours. One morning I went at 6:30 and saw the sun rise over Buck Island. It was awesome! We all decided that we could very easily make this a yearly trip." -KM

"I just wanted to let you know that the 6 of us had an absolutely fabulous time at Villa Soleil! The house was great and the location was just perfect! We couldn't get over how amazing the views from the house were. The people of St. Croix were also very nice and accommodating and had many great suggestions for us. We met John from 'Big Beard's' and had a great time snorkeling at Buck Island. We dined at Tutto Benne (the best Peel and Eat Shrimp ever!!), Fort Christenstead Brew Pub, The Cultured Pelican (2 for 1 entree's on Thursdays) and went to Bongo's for wing night on Tuesday! We also all had a great time at the Jump Up on May 2nd - it was very entertaining for all of us! I highly recommended this house to many friends and hope to return with an even bigger crew next time!"- SB

"We all - 11 of us - had a GREAT time! Our 5 teenagers had the downstairs to themselves with music as loud as they wanted. The pool and the many levels of deck were so nice. You could be right in the action off to the side by yourself in the hammock."- DN

HONEYMOONS & WEDDINGS

"This is the most beautiful place that we have been to. For a couple of honeymooners, this is the place to be. It is so romantic and relaxing here that we don't want to leave. Villa Soleil is like home away from home. It has all the amenities that you could ever ask for. The house is at a perfect location and the view is breathtaking." -BN

"The Villa was WONDERFUL! We loved it and can't wait to go back for an anniversary. The wedding was great. We had a BBQ for all 31 of us the one night at Villa Soleil and it was perfect. We were so very impressed with the house and all the special touches you do to make it feel like a home for the short time we spent there. We could not have asked for a better place." -AH

The thing we like most about Villa Soleil was the feeling of home away from home (but still on an awesome vacation). My husband was in awe because of the spectacular surroundings. Even when it was hot outside, we could sit in the living room or dining room and look out at the beautiful water. There weren't too many people around so we had our privacy. St Croix is a beautiful island. Very romantic surroundings (for a couple of honeymooners. Food is awesome and people are good. And the rum ain't bad either!) -NH

ST. CROIX

"As we had such a large group going we wanted to go to one of the U. S. Virgin Islands, and not have to worry about passports. We had been to St. Thomas and St. John and neither were the exact fit. We had heard a lot about St. Croix from some friends and decided it was a perfect match. The thing we liked the most about it was the general atmosphere. It was laid back and yet still a place to go and celebrate (a wedding). Unlike the other US Virgin Islands, places stayed open even if a cruise ship was not docked that day. The diversity of things to do was also a plus for everyone. We had a group from 25 years old to 75 years old and everyone found something to do." -AH

"Diving and trip to Buck Island are must do's. The people of St. Croix are awesome. If all else fails just never leave the pool and deck here and your trip will be perfect!" -JP
