St. Croix is a relaxed and uncrowded travel destination, but that doesn't mean there aren't big-city type diversions. Depending on the time of year you visit St. Croix hot spots for evening entertainment can be found in the towns of Christiansted and Frederiksted. These include reggae bands, jazz groups, and popular folk singers or full moon parties at various clubs. There are several great restaurants on the island; many that have live music in the evenings. What could be better than sipping a locally micro-brewed beer in the open air at the Fort Christian Brew Pub while gazing out on one of the best views of Christiansted harbor listening to guitar music. Shopping more your game? Choices abound from art galleries featuring local artists to high-end duty free jewelry stores like Colombian Emeralds. Frederiksted also hosts an island specific event called Jump-up on the days that cruise ships dock. There are even two movie theatres playing all the big name films.
